SOUTH AFRICAN born artist FRANCOIS VAN REENEN also known as FRANK received his Fine Arts Degree in 1993 and currently lives in CAPE TOWN. His iconic works are well known for the way he depicts the strange contrast of childhood, a period characterized by the tension between sweet innocence and dark humour. His themes have a comic appearance, influenced by the artist's childhood toys, which,  according to him "would be the first Art that a child comes into contact with"  

FRANK VAN REENEN has exhibited both locally and internationally. He has been nominated for numerous awards and received a LOERIE award for his contribution towards local and international publications.His work is to be found in a number of private and public collections.
