A self-taught artist, who was strongly inspired by the middle 20th Century Art movements of Abstract Expressionism and masters such as KAREL APPEL, ASGER JORN and colourful palettes of MIRO and KANDINSKY.

A great believer that art must fulfill a symbiotic function with both Architecture and Interior, his work is both mindful of current Retro influenced revival of styles compatible with the SCANDINAVIAN Architects and Designers that dominated the mid-20th Century Modernists.

LA GRANGE seeks to provide an aesthetic compatible with a contemporary 21st Century interior to match most design trends. Focus remains strongly vested in technical execution of composition, form and colour with a textured background and trade mark high gloss varnish quality. His art is in harmony with both traditional and modern minimalist interiors. The works of art remains highly individualistic and defies mass consumerism as a trend in current marketing practices.
