Old age and youth are contrasted by the use of different drawing styles. The simple etched outline conveys the innocence of the young man while the experience of the gnarled old man is expressed by the build-up of closely knit lines. The latter echoes the figure of the aged REMBRANDT, while the young man appears in the later blind Minotaur series.
